Jamba — Over 20 million tons of crude iron will be produced annually at Kassinga iron mine (1 and 2) in district of Jamba, southern Huíla province.
This was said to Angop Thursday in that locality by the Minister of Geology and Mining, Francisco Manuel Queiroz.
According to him, seven million tons of iron will be produced in Kassinga Sul, Tchamutete, the same number in Kassinga Norte and the rest at Cateruca land reserve.
The minister said that the product will greatly contribute to the diversification of the country's economy, whose objectives will also be centered on the programme to fight hunger and poverty reduction.
The official said that these projects prospecting activities are being carried out by experts of the Angolan Exploration Mining Resources Company (AEMR ).
