This section of AfricanLiberty is devoted to public and private sector efforts in order to bridge the gap. We would hear stories of how the cell phone revolution in particular is making an impact on small scale holder farms, hovering over dilapidated roads to connect buyers and sellers and individual vendors who provide telecommunication services. Would African governments embrace technology or would they feel threatened by it? The stories below tell the African perspective:
My main struggle over the sexual relationship these two industrial giants developed was to justify whether it was adultery by moral virtue or not. Well, literally, one will only commit adultery if he/she indulges himself in an extra marital sex. By this definition Hank was guilty of committing adultery and would not be pardoned morally. However, this was a situation where the reputation of Hank was deteriorating, directly living an adverse impact on Rearden Metals. His business was almost down. His entire life achievement would have been robbed by the public. These looters were people who happened to be Lillian’s favorite. I guess Lillian knew they were the main enemies to Hank’s progress. Meanwhile she still entertained them and never took the initiative to stop them of their actions. I believe she was even planted against Henry by these people to hasten their aim of shutting his dreams. Here came another person who always appeared in the scene when Hank needed someone to advocate for him. The successful completion of the John Galt Line was one of her greatest attempt to rescue Hank from drowning into the sea. I feel the romantic celebration of this great achievement is not enough. They can go ahead and do whatever pleases them.
What right has a man to accept praises for what he never achieved? James had not achieved anything about the John Galt Line and therefore had nothing to celebrate. Dagny took all the risk of getting the work done. I expected the people to give honor to which honor was due. The only contribution from James was to shift the entire risk to Dagny. The evidence to this was the terms of the agreement they had prior to the incorporation of the John Galt Line. I don’t expect the public to discover the truth about the John Galt Line at that stage. However, it was still obvious that Jim had no positive contribution to the construction of the line. Clever enough, Jim wanted to be alone that evening not for the sake of pride but rather inferiority complex because he new the fact that he had nothing to celebrate.
Privately owned organizations are always the best form of corporate entities that effectively achieve results. Therefore any legislation passed that restricts the property right of owners of these entities limits their capacity of operation. Owners of such entities will be more comfortable with environment with few or no such legislations. The rule of natural selection states that the environment will only be occupied by anything which deemed it favorable to be dwelt in. Colorado happened to be a place that will favor freer commercial activities. Mr. Mowen should have guessed the occurrence of a situation when all the industrialists will move to Colorado when he was advocating for the passing of The Equalization of Opportunity Bill in the peoples state of Mexico. I guess the John Galt Line have come to help Colorado to take in more industries.
Dagny and Henry left for two weeks tour of the surrounding towns as part of the celebration of their new discoveries of each other. I kept wondering what the out come of this tour was going to be. They met people of different calibers. Among these people were those who isolated themselves from the world and its associated troubles to leave a natural peasant life. Their main discovery was the carcass of the Twentieth Century Motors. They saw how the dream of someone with great potential was shuttered for unknown course. I wonder how these two can conclude the work of someone whose vision remained unknown
