Ghana’s President John Evans Atta Mills and his visiting Nigerian counterpart Goodluck Jonathan have commited their respective countries to the free trade area project within the West African Sub-region.

President Goodluck Jonathan was in Ghana for a two day state visit which saw him hold bilateral talks with President Mills.

Briefing press men at the Kotoka International Airport, the two Presidents lamented the inability of West African countries to make practical the protocol on free movement of people and goods, indicating that enhancing free trade would bring enormous benefits to the West African sub region.
