Gay issues in Uganda have sparked questionable actions from the populace and religious heads. Recently a clergy man who opposes gay in the country aired a gay pornographic film to amass support for the proposed anti-homosexuality bill. The pastor told reporters it is important for the people to be educated about what gay people indulge in.
Gay rights activists suggested the pastor should seek medical help for showing the film to about three hundred people of his congregation. The anti-homosexuality bill proposed the death penalty for the act and this has created a worldwide uproar. The pastor planned to carry out a protest in the capital but was forced to abandon the plan because of security concerns. The proposed bill has wide support in parliament but the president is not pleased about the private member bill because he is being pressured by the international community to scrap the bill.
