Ghana Ministry Fire was Arson. (BBC)
The fire that ravaged Ghana’s foreign affairs ministry late Wednesday is believed to be arson. Police have arrested three people who were seen near the building before the fire started.
Ghana has lost valuable information dating back to pre-colonial times. Some information the country will never be able to lay its hands on. The fire service could not make it on time to stop the raging fire, eye witness say it took the fire service men over an hour to get to the site and upon arrival their ladders were too short to work with hence they could not bring the fire under control. Police chief says foul play is suspected. President Mills urged the police to investigate and make sure those found guilty be punished. This is the third fire to engulf a ministry building this year.
