Ghana’s keenly contested Presidential election is over. Despite attempts by a section of the International media to equate the generally peaceful elections with near anarchy, one cannot blame them much, since it became apparent that the incumbent loser tried frantically, albeit legitimate means to hang on. But it was merely hoping against hope.
Many observers will continue to talk about Ghana’s elections for a long time, simply for its rarity on a continent recently beset with horror election stories.
